The Lot - #27 - Forestbrooke

The "Hole" is started. The heavy machinery operator tells us: "...The one good thing about all this ROCK...Your House will never sink!..." - It took an extra 4 days to "Jack-Hammer" and remove the Shale and Sandstone from the area.

At this point, we are known throughout the neighborhood as the "Hole People" !!!

With the hammering and digging and base complete, the Footers are next...

The Footer for the foundation is poured...

The Forms are set and the Foundation is poured...

Foundation and Core Supports are in place and cured. Looking a bit naked without the Forms...Also, the Waterproofing seal has been applied...

The "Escape Hatch" - a code requirement in Allegheny County...

The Truss Girders are in place...

The Basement and Garage drains and the Basement Bathroom Rough-Ins are Completed...

The Basement and Garage floors are prepared for the Concrete Pour on Friday the 14th!

The Concrete is Poured and cured for the Basement and Garage...

We took a ride over to look around and say hello to the neighbors - I couldn't help myself and entered the basement through the "Escape Hatch" for a look around.
